The rest of Fiji...
Our next stop after barefoot was octopus resort, we arrived and was greeted in a graveyard with a cow tied to a tree, not the best start. After a 15 minute trek through the jungle we arrived at the resort, it was definitely worth the walk. It was a lot bigger than any resort we had been too and even though it was more for family's than backpackers the atmosphere was great and it had a pool!
On the Sunday we went to a church service at the local village (another long walk past cows) the service was all in Fijian so we had no idea what was going on but it was nice to experience village life.
After octopus we went to beachcomber island, the party island. Considering its known as the party island it was pretty quiet and chilled out. Our second day there we went on a trip to a village and a school and had a kava ceremony with the chief and had to donate money for him to allow us to go to the island where castaway was filmed. The island was absolutely beautiful, we went snorkelling in the crystal clear water and had drinks on the beach. We left Fiji to storms and getting on the boat was horrendously scary, people were being sick and crying so it was the best ending to the trip. We had an amazing time in Fiji though and hope to go back one day (maybe for our honeymoon haha)
